Thirty-two years’ experience as a global leader in healthcare, successful senior partner of a world-wide professional services firm, KPMG, and award-winning author. Former member of the NHS Management Board in the U.K.

Worked in 80 countries on 360 occasions helping governments and a wide variety of healthcare organisations with strategy, policy and delivery. Led high-performing healthcare organisations at local, regional, national and international levels; payer and provider; public and private sectors.

For the past eleven years, delivered sustainable growth in Healthcare, Government & Infrastructure at KPMG International, accounting for 22% of total global revenues and 45,000 staff across 150 countries. Returned to the KPMG UK partnership in October 2020, appointed Vice-Chairman KPMG UK in conjunction with healthcare responsibilities.

Award winning author of ‘In Search of the Perfect Health System’, sold in 109 countries and translated in three languages (Mandarin, Korean & Portuguese). Awarded best health & care book by the British Medical Association and the Chinese Doctors Medical Union.

Second book, ‘Human: Solving the global workforce crisis in healthcare’ published by Oxford University Press in 2019. First edition sold out in 4 months. Published in Mandarin, released in Beijing, August 2020.
