Clinical coding classification reference

We offer clinical coding, auditing, education and training services. Our specialist coding team have worked extensively across Australian public and private hospitals, Singapore, Ireland, Fiji, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. We bring the highest level of auditing, health information management, and clinical coding expertise.

Desktop Analysis

Our audit methods include use of Performance Indicators for Coding Quality (PICQ®) tool to measure compliance with the classification coding standards and non-specific code assignment. We benchmark the complexity captured at each Provider compared to the complexity of peer Providers in Australia. This element may identify under- or over-reporting of diagnoses and/or interventions.
Data Maturity Index

The data maturity index is implemented through interviews with management and coding teams. It focuses on people, processes and tools and provides a comparison to international best practice coding services.
Physical Audit

We provide physical coding audits. Each physical coding audit measures coding accuracy through re-abstraction and recoding of sample episodes of care, in comparison to original coding, and offers an analysis of any differences.
Specialist Team

Our experienced coders have extensive coding, auditing, education and training experience in public and private hospitals in all States and Territories of Australia and also internationally. All our coders have passed rigorous Beamtree competency-based testing and have highly developed skills in the area of clinical documentation.
