Beamtree UK has announced the appointment of former NHSx and NHS England Chief Nursing Information Officer, Professor Natasha Phillips as Clinical Lead and Clinical Safety Officer.
Professor Phillips will be leading engagement with professional staff and ensuring safety requirements are in place as Beamtree rolls out AI and machine learning supported solutions in partnership with the NHS. This includes continuing trials of our deterioration prevention solution, the Ainsoff Deterioration Index, automating the process of clinical coding and using our RippleDown product to support clinical decisions for pathologists. Beamtree is committed to open, safe and ethical implementations of automative technology to reduce the burden on NHS staff.
Professor Phillips said:
“I am looking forward to joining Beamtree UK and immersing myself in their impressive product set. Having spent time at NHS England developing national processes for the safe implementation of AI, I am delighted to be working with Beamtree to put this into practice. The key to successfully deploying these software is as much about the engagement and transformation as the technology, and I look forward to leading this for Beamtree with NHS clinical colleagues.”
Tim Kelsey, Beamtree Group CEO said:
“I am delighted to welcome Professor Phillips to Beamtree UK and to have someone with such a distinguished local and national career history join us to lead on safety and clinical engagement in the NHS. Beamtree is committed to the concept of The Learning Health System and Professor Phillips will be able to give us the insight to ensure our automation products add value to our NHS workforce.”
