Every year, the PCSI Conference brings together leaders in healthcare data, case mix, and coding to share ideas and set the agenda for the future. This year in Québec, the spotlight is firmly on how health systems can use better data to deliver safer, more efficient, and more sustainable care.
For Beamtree, PCSI 2025 is a chance to showcase the impact of international partnerships that are already transforming healthcare, and to open new conversations about what comes next.
In Australia, the UK, and Canada, our autonomous coding pilots are showing how automation can be safely introduced to support coding teams. These projects are proving that accuracy, auditability, and local adaptability can coexist, enabling hospitals to reduce workload pressures without compromising quality.
In New Zealand and Australia, our predictive forecasting is giving hospitals a new lens on benchmarking. By moving beyond retrospective performance analysis, health leaders can now anticipate risks, set proactive goals, and test new improvement strategies before they are rolled out. In Canada, a large-scale coding audit and data quality initiative led by PHSA and Interior Health, in partnership with Beamtree, reviewed over 1,400 hospital records. This work directly informed coder education and national data quality standards – and has directly shaped the development of PICQ Canada and indicators to align with local needs and priorities.
In Saudi Arabia, Beamtree’s partnership with CNHI and Lean is demonstrating the value of scaling quality-assured coding data to the national level. By co-designing dashboards that leverage clinically coded data to report on quality, safety, and population health indicators, the initiative is helping to support data-driven decision-making across the country’s healthcare reform programme.
These projects are united by a common principle: better data leads to better decisions, and better decisions lead to better care. At PCSI 2025, Beamtree will share lessons learned from these international initiatives and engage with colleagues from across the world to continue building momentum.
